Background

Hello! My name is Nhi Le, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Avery Therapy Centre. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Immunology and Physiology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

My interest in mental health began during my volunteer work in hospital settings, where I saw how impactful it could be simply to listen, connect, and support someone during a difficult moment. These experiences inspired my transition into counselling, where I now blend my academic background with a grounded, person-centered approach to support individuals in meaningful and practical ways.

Alongside my counselling work, I also serve as a behavioural interventionist. This hands-on role has strengthened my understanding of developmental needs, family systems, and the barriers many families face. I carry these insights into my work with clients of all ages and backgrounds.

Outside of my professional life, I love exploring creative hobbies like perfume making and pottery. I also enjoy baking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors with my dog.

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from a humanistic, person-centered approach, creating a warm and collaborative space where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered. I honour each individual’s unique experiences and encourage self-reflection, while also offering structure, strategies, and tools tailored to your goals.

To best support a wide range of needs, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Adlerian techniques, and other evidence-informed practices. My approach is flexible—grounded in empathy but also practical and action-oriented when needed.

I work with adults, youth, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, low mood, identity exploration, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity-related experiences.

Open communication is central to my practice, and I welcome feedback so we can work together in a way that feels meaningful and effective for you.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your healing journey.
