Background

Hey, I’m Caleb — I’m glad you’re here. I was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver, and mental health has been an important part of my life from an early age. Growing up in a first-generation immigrant family, I became deeply aware of how mental health intersects with cultural identity, and how challenging it can be to find understanding in environments that don’t always recognize that complexity. After spending six years living and working in Australia in a rewarding consulting career in the tourism sector, I returned to Canada to pursue my graduate degree in Counselling. Through my own experiences in counselling, I discovered the power of the therapeutic space — a place where we can connect with our authentic selves and carry that sense of wholeness into life beyond the room.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver and have completed clinical practicum placements in both private practice and an addiction recovery center. I have also spent the past four years supporting individuals through provincial and national crisis lines. I am a strong proponent of the transformative power of active listening and empathy, and I believe that individuals inherently have the capacity for change. With patience, guidance, and understanding, I support clients in navigating their own paths toward growth and healing.

Therapeutic Approach

I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I understand the challenges that come with growing up in a dysfunctional home, navigating toxic shame, and building meaningful relationships.

I work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens and a person-centered approach, focusing on understanding the different parts of you — including those that feel stuck, protective, or unheard — in a way that feels safe and validating. I am pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to further support my trauma-informed approach. I also integrate somatic- and mindfulness-based techniques into my work.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique journey. I aim to help you feel seen, heard, and supported as you build resilience, self-compassion, and a deeper connection with yourself and others. I also take a multicultural perspective, considering how intergenerational trauma, cultural identity, and family dynamics shape mental health and relationships.  I work especially well with people navigating trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, and challenges around belonging or self-understanding. If any of this resonates, I invite you to reach out for a twenty-minute consultation to see if we're the right fit. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you on your journey.
