Mindfulness Based Somatic Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy® (MBST) is an integrative approach to mind-body-emotion self-regulation for healing trauma. Informed by research, MBST incorporates innovations in yoga, mindfulness practice, breath work, hands-on healing modalities, somatic (body-based) interventions and neuroscience designed to enhance the body’s own capacity to heal and reclaim hope. By centering on an organic process of healing, individuals are guided to gently release body-stored trauma, experience self-efficacy, and gain greater emotional resilience to interact with life circumstances in more adaptive ways with clarity, openness, and heart.
Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy Intuitively Integrates the Following Modalities:
Restorative Yoga Postures
Mindfulness Practice
Breath Work
Hands-On Healing Modalities
Somatic & Body-Oriented Processes
Resilience Enhancement
Our therapist Julie Lackowicz trained with the founder of MSBT, Ratha Chek during her clinical practicum. She offers a variety of healing methods including MBST. To learn more about Julie or to book an appointment, click here.
